Kaliya Mardhanam, first Indian movie to use VFX

Kaliyamardhan (also known as The Childhood of Krishna), 

directed by Dada Saheb Phalke was released in 1919 and was the 

first Indian movie to use VFX. 

It was a 48 minute silent film and 8th directorial venture by 

DadaSaheb Phalke!
